Farfalla Quintet

About

The Farfalla Quintet was created in 2019 by five highly driven musicians with a shared passion for Johannes Brahms' extraordinary work for this formation, the Piano Quintet in F minor. In the searching for a work from the classical period to first start building their repertoire together, the quintet chose one of the piano quintets by João Domingos Bomtempo, a Portuguese composer contemporary to Beethoven. In doing this, they are also sharing music that is seldomly performed on the international stage.

The five members of the Farfalla Quintet come from different parts of the globe, each one bringing special elements from different cultures, that result in a very dynamic and exciting atmosphere in their work together.
